The VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System (VACWMHCS) is seeking multiple staff physicians to become part of the primary care team. Position locations will include the main campus in Leeds, MA as well as its Outpatient Clinics located in Springfield, Greenfield, Fitchburg, Worcester and Pittsfield. Multiple assignments may be used for this announcement, such as in the Community Living Center (CLC), Urgent Care, Inpatient Mental Health Units (Medical Consultants) and other clinic areas.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Requirements:Position is subject to a pre-employment physical and medical examination. This position requires: Light lifting, under 25 pounds; light carrying, under 25 pounds; reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; walking (8 hours); standing (8 hours); repeated bending (1 hour); and hearing (aid permitted); working closely with others; working alone; protracted or irregular hours of work and occasional emotional strain.
