The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska Lincoln is searching for a faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice with expertise in audiology. This position is non-tenure-leading with 12-month appointments of up to 3 years and renewable thereafter with potential for promotion in rank to Associate or Full Professor of Practice.
Responsibilities: Serve as Program Coordinator for audiology and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Advise graduate students in the AuD program, supervise clinical practicum, seek financial supports for personnel preparation, and provide professional outreach and service in the department, college, university and broader community. Collaborative research opportunities are possible.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate (PhD or AuD-PhD) in Audiology or related field. CCC-A from ASHA and Nebraska state license (or eligibility) in Audiology are required. College teaching and clinical experience in audiology required. Area of expertise is open.

The Department has active research collaborations on campus with the Center for Brain Biology and Behavior, the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools, and the Schmoker Reading Center. Collaborations also exist with Boys Town National Research Institute, Boys Town National Research Hospital, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, school districts within the region, and a number of national and international institutions and agencies.
