We are recruiting for a Manager, Records Retention to join our Records Retention Department in Louisville, KY.
In conjunction with the Law Department, develops and establishes company-wide Records Management Policies and ensures records are maintained and confidentiality is applied in accordance with HIPAA, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Participates in the development of company-wide records management policies that results in standardized practices across the organization.
Oversees and manages the records management program, including work flow/procedures, to ensure company and patient medical records are maintained and released in accordance with federal, state, and HIPAA laws, regulations.
Consults with the management team to establish HIPAA guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality, and serves on the HIPAA Advisory committee.
Negotiates and oversees vendor contracts for the records management program. Establishes national agreements, standardization, and ensures cost-effectiveness.
Establishes and administers the disaster recovery and vital records program, policies, and procedures.
Ensures employees receive training, development, coaching, and motivation for effective performance and retention.
Knowledge of Records Retention Programs
Ability to interact with all levels of management
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
Certified Records Manager (CRM) preferred
5 years experience in records management, including policy development and oversight responsibility
