SUNY Empire State College currently seeks an Associate Dean for Health Professions for our School of Nursing.
The inaugural Associate Dean for Health Professions will play a pivotal role in building out Empire State College's health professions and related offerings. The Associate Dean will report to the Dean of the School of Nursing, be an active part of the college's Leadership Council and will work closely across the college's graduate and undergraduate programs to help create and execute the vision for a robust suite of health professions related programs. Direct areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, budget creation and management, faculty and staff supervision, student and faculty recruitment, curriculum design and program academic quality, and relevant student support services. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and other college leaders regarding faculty and program-related issues, represents the college at external events, provides open channels of communication with faculty and staff, and exemplifies an atmosphere of collaboration and trust.
- An earned doctorate in the Health Professions or a related field
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in an academic setting
- Experience in academic administration, including supervision, budget management and new program development
- Experience with accreditation, grants and outcomes assessment
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- A proven commitment to diversity and inclusion

- This is a full-time, Management/Confidential position located at one of the following locations: downstate; Saratoga Springs; or Rochester, NY.
- Some teaching and advising responsibilities will be required
