Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Research Coordinator I, \(1\.0 FTE, Day shift\) to work in the Swedish Cancer Institute at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA\.
_ The Research Coordinator I independently coordinates research and administrative tasks in support of one or more research studies\. Works with study investigators and supervisor to address study\-related issues\. Backs up other coordinators as needed\. Supports department financial performance through budgeting, billing and as directed\. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and with a high level of autonomy\._
In this position you will:
Supports Research Coordinator II, III, and manager in conduct of study visits to include but not limited to the visit preparation, vital signs, adverse events, concomitant medications, data entry, and laboratory preparation and collection
Perform study procedures in accordance with the protocol after appropriate training to include fibroscans, breath test, finger sticks, ECGs, vital signs, body measurements and other procedures required per study
Attend research department and divisional meetings, clinical team meetings, research steering committees, journal clubs and other educational events
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree\. Significant experience in research coordination can be substituted for education
Minimum one year experience in related field
Basic knowledge of FDA research policies, other applicable federal regulations and/or GCP guidelines
Well\-versed in medical and scientific terminology\.
Familiar with medical records departments and information
Familiar with research protocols and standard study requirements
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator \(CCRC\) or similar professional research certification
