The Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is recruiting a full-time Uveitis specialist to work with our current group of three Uveitis faculty and one uveitis fellow.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate who is interested in a solid career in academic ophthalmology in a world-class setting for clinical practice, education, and research. This position will join an established and highly-regarded University-based practice consisting of 56 ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists. Other subspecialty services include cornea, retina, glaucoma, oculoplastics, pediatric ophthalmology, ophthalmic pathology, oncology, low vision rehabilitation, neuro-ophthalmology and ophthalmic genetics. We have a strong residency program with 15 residents, and 9 clinical fellowship programs.
The ideal candidate will be devoted to clinical excellence, to advancing our knowledge of understanding and treating ocular diseases, and must have a firm commitment to academic medicine. Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and must have completed their subspecialty fellowship training in Uveitis and Ocular Inflammatory Diseases. We would welcome applications from candidates with subspecialty interests in additional areas (e.g. uveitis and retina, uveitis and cornea, etc), but this is not required. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
