Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Manager of Employee and Labor Relations is accountable for Doctors Medical Centerâs employee and labor relationsâ activity. Ensures understanding and interpretation of policies, procedures, and programs to enhance management/staff relations. Listens to employee concerns and informs management of issues or concerns. Tracks and trends employee concerns and develops programs to address them. Meets with managers and employees, investigating issues and recommending solutions. Communicates regularly with other members of the HR Department, which may impact, or be impacted by, various employee issues. Develops performance management training programs designed to address various issues and delivers to management and/or staff as appropriate. Accountable for Doctors Medical Center labor relationsâ activity for all Collective Bargaining Agreements (SEIU-UHW and California Nurses Association). Works with all levels of management to assure the consistent application of Collective Bargaining Agreements. Works closely with the corporate Director of Labor Relations. Supervises Coordinator, Employee and Labor Relations.
5+ years experience in a union environment required.
5+ years experience in Employee and Labor Relations within a union environment required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
