Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety,comfort personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision ofpatient care.Over seen by the assignedRN and/or Charge Nurse. Reports to the Manager of the Unit and CNO.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to providecare appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit.Knowledge of growth and development over thelife span.Must be able to communicateeffectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
Formal nurse assistant course and/or one yearnurse assistant experience preferred.
California Certified Nurse Assistant
American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
Non-violent crisis intervention/verbalde-escalation course within 3 months of hire
