We are recruiting for a Senior Director, Utilization to join our Purchasing Team.
The Senior Director, Utilization is responsible for the development of all processes and procedures used to conduct and manage Service Line meetings to include the development of meeting content, gaining member consensus on sourcing strategies, identifying standardization opportunities and review of end-user data for accuracy. This position provides leadership, support and strategic direction for all Service Lines to ensure consistent and uniform processes. A key focus of this position is to co-develop optimal business strategies with sourcing while matrix managing coworker relationships that will improve Kindred's cost position and reduce uncontrolled variation. The Senior Director reports to the Division Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards.
In collaboration with the Division Vice President, Strategic Sourcing will develop business processes and relationships that provide both traditional and non-traditional methodologies and set a new standard for collaboration on quality, service integration, and cost management.
In sync with the strategic direction of Kindred, implement strategic programs that reduce cost as well as maximize and redirect supply chain revenue streams to owners.
Participates in supplier business reviews and provides a clinical perspective to the review of new products.
This position will lead or have direct oversight to the individuals who will lead Service Line meetings in the direct and indirect spaces.
Directs the development of processes associated with product trial and validation procedures for the Service Line. This includes processes used in the selection of sites for trialing and the development of all validation criteria which is collected and used to determine results of the trial.
Utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills, present to appropriate groups' information related to identified opportunities, their implementation, and post-decision results in order to maximize effectiveness of the service and cost management activities.
Matrix-manage contracting staff to optimize performance and efficiency for the focused key initiatives.
Work collaboratively with the GPO, Support Center, and field to maximize contract compliance and product consolidation.
Support and facilitate the consistent deployment and integration of operational systems impacting the focused spend categories across Kindred.
Understanding of Supply Chain from a clinical, operational and financial standpoint.
Leadership skills must include the ability to facilitate and build consensus among diverse groups, strong persuasive presentation skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Proven negotiation skills.
Ability to conceptualize, quantify and sell new programs and concepts.
A strong desire to redefine the economic model of the healthcare supply chain.
Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Superior analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to deal with all levels of co-workers, providing leadership, influence, and problem resolution.
Ability to work effectively in team environment.
Proficiency with business software tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to drive change in an organization via credible influence and not direct control of operations.
Bachelor's degree or high school diploma
Minimum five years of experience directly related to healthcare supply chain management
Five years management experience in progressive management roles
Experience developing and leading complex projects in matrix management
