This role provides solid execution of technical data architectures, understanding of MPP Database Management Systems, ERD Modeling, Data Architecture and Data Management Principles,ETL/ELT, predictive analytics and a strong understanding of Healthcare data. This will ensure the subject matter expertise will reside at Tenet, both technical and business. It will replace a current contractor position, thereby providing cost savings of ~45K.
Development of Enterprise Data Warehousing areas include: Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Data Engineering and Advanced Analytics
software implementation lifecycle, both Agile and Waterfall, leadership skills and the ability to work well with both business clients, developers and other architect
Bridges gaps across business areas, operational business units, infrastructure team, and Data Warehouse development teams
Monitor and measure data architecture processes and standards to ensure value is being driven and delivered as expected
Establish data architecture strategy, best practices, standards, and roadmap
Excellent understanding of solutions architectural principles, data integration, and data warehousing
Coaches or mentors others to guide those though specific projects, policies, procedures and solutions
Knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies that can be applied, to reduce cost and drive efficiencies
Develop various data science models using tools and perform unstructured data analysis
Review the current ETL strategy, database design and verification, data integrity validation, and interactions with external stakeholders and customers. The candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Bachelorsï¿½ degree from an accredited college/university in business related or technology related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
10+ years of experience in information technology
8+ years of Data Modeling experience; Delivering both logical models and physical designs. MPP technologies preferred
8+ years of Advanced SQL Coding/Tuning Experience in one or more of the following: Netezza, SQL server or Oracle
2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferable provider
Knowledge of healthcare industry and working with various billing, registration and EMRs is strongly preferable
Possesses sound analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Assignments may be complex in nature and modifications may be broader than the application itself. Must have the ability to think creatively and incorporate current technical solutions with the end user in mind. Assigned projects may be complex in nature and impact more than one system application
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with SQL and stored procedures in Microsoft, Oracle or Netezza
Understanding of Data Management/Metadata Management process and principles is essential
Helps develop data warehouse and strategic direction for the department
Defines and ensures standards for technology and business process are established
Experience with Cloud platforms for data warehousing
Experience with advanced analytics languages like Python, R, NOSQL etc
