The Director, Information Security Officer for Conifer Value Based Care (VBC) is responsible for high-level analysis, development, interpretation and communications related to information and system security policy, practices and assessment. Serves as an advisor to the VBC VP of Operations and Technology on information security policy and operational issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages IT Security Initiatives, designed to improve the security posture of the Conifer Value Based Care. Continually assesses and reports on computer systems, application development and telecommunications security risks.Prepares documentation of the technical and application environment relative to security matters, and to determine risks and vulnerabilities.
Serve as point of contact and provide leadership for all audit activity and lead remediation and process improvement strategies and implementation.
Lead the efforts across VBC to provide system security within the applications, monitor its effectiveness, and ensure compliance with requirements and regulations, including HIPAA, PCI and SOX.
Help design, document, and implement security into the software development life cycle (SDLC). Conducts application security assessments and analyze results and works with developers to implement corrective actions.
Assist Conifer Health Solution, Sr. Director of Information Security in the development, implementation and refinement of Conifer Health data privacy strategy, including creation & deployment of policy for data classification, deployment of tools to support data protection, particularly as it relates to VBC.
Provide Information Security response to client and potential client assessments, and guidance on information security contractual requirements.
Participate Conifer Health information security vendor risk analysis process.
Participate in the corporate computer security incident response team efforts and other security investigations activities as assigned.

Position requires experience in computing or related technology areas as well as proven successful experience in high-level service management, planning and policy development.
Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security.
Must have a good understanding of security strategies/architectures relating to application development, infrastructure, and encryption.
Must take initiative, and have a track record of continuous learning.
Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.
Professional certification and or industry recognized Users Group affiliation is highly desirable.
Experience in developing and administering technology policy is very highly desirable.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems
5+ years of experience in IT/IS required.
5+ years of experience in information security.
2+ years of experience in application development security or application security analysis
2+ years of experience in information systems management preferred
CISSP, CISM, CEH or other relevant certification preferred
