Supervises the environmental services process in accordance with hospital policy/procedure, infection control guidelines and requirement of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Inspects the physical condition of the hospital; recommends painting, repairs and furnishing for efficient and sanitary space utilization.
Supervisor and monitors the work performed by the aides.
Supervises furniture moves and room set-up.
Maintains equipment in good working condition and ensures the availability of needed supplies. Conducts research housekeeping technology improvements.
Screens and selects qualified personnel for department openings.
Prepares the departmental budget, maintains all required records/reports and establishes policies for the department.
Develops work schedules to ensure man-hours and expenses stay within approved department budget.
Hires, trains and conducts performance appraisals and interim progress reviews
