CHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital is growing! We have a new opportunity for a PRN Speech and Language Pathologist as we prepare to expand and open up our second floor with 29 additional beds. We are a 60-bed hospital that opened in May 2018 to care for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. This hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare. When you come to work here, you will be joining an interdisciplinary team where doctors, nurses, therapists and other experts work together to form individualized care plans for our patients and residents. As an Speech & Language Pathologist your responsibilities will include: -
Direct application of speech / language pathology treatment modalities -
Evaluating, planning, directing and treating patients referred for speech / language treatment -
Participating in interdisciplinary activities such as performance improvement projects, infection control and safety programs, team meetings and conferences, etc. -
Providing instruction and education to patients' family members and other caregivers as well as to other members of the inter-disciplinary team -

As a Speech and Language Pathologist you will need to have: -
Current Washington State Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist -
Master's Degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program -
Minimum of six months speech and language pathology experience preferred - Past Clinical Fellowship -
Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification -
