We are recruiting a Director, Strategic Business Development to join our Kindred Rehabilitation Services Division. This is a work from home position that requires high travel. There are currently two (2) positions available.
Responsible for supporting all sales activities in assigned territory, including lead generation, relationship cultivation, presentation materials, finanical pro formas, market analysis and maintenance, managing the quality of the opportunity, completing due diligence and internal requirements, sales presentations, and initial legal document development for the DVP of Strategic Business Development's region. This position will collaborates closely with operations, finance, market research and legal during entire sales cycle. Relies on experience, individual motivation, integrity, judgment and positive attitude to accomplish goals of developing and managing hospital based rehabilitation services business relationships within the KHRS division and assisting with identifying and implementing plans to grow KHRS management services business.
Develops and manages the strategic sales plan for the assigned Division Vice President, Strategic Business Development's territory. Continually evaluates sales strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Generates leads, gathers market intelligence, analyzes business opportunities, initiates customer contact, develops and cultivates relationships, completes due diligence, organizes and leads sales presentations.
Collaborates with Operations, Clinical, Market Research, Finance and Legal in establishing priorities, analyzing opportunities, preparing financial projections and negotiating deals with prospective customers.
Identifies and markets to potential clients through a variety of methods to include cold calls, introduction letter/emails, phone calls, trade shows and other events as assigned.
Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with financial acumen - focused on growing the Company.
Coordinates proforma calls with Finance and Operations to produce pricing and usage analysis for potential clients.
Keeps on-going knowledge of in-market competitors and their offerings, pricing and operations model.
Communicates on a regular and on-going basis with Ops counterparts via conference calls, meetings and other events as scheduled.
Coordinates and responds to all Requests for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of KHRS.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and currency of all sales activity in salesforce.com and participating in bi-monthly pipeline calls to review progress and relay targeted account status.
Coordinates with customer to ensure smooth transition and resolve implementation issues.
Keeps Division Vice President, Strategic Business Development updated on all sales activities or customer relationship opportunities and/or issues
2-3 days/week of travel.
Maintains and develops relationships with State Healthcare Associations, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and other Healthcare Groups that can impact our business.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, related field
3+ years Sales and Business Development experience in Business to Business sales. Experience in either acute and/or long term care sales preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a sales territory, form business relationships inside and outside of the company, show solid financial understanding of revenue, cost, development of client facing materials in support of the new client development, and presentation skills.
