The Vermont Health Care Association, the trade organization representing over 100 quality long term care nursing, residential care and assisted living homes seeks an energetic and dynamic individual to manage our association.
The executive director is response for representing member to state agencies, in the legislature and in the advocacy community statewide. He or she will communicate and interpret regulations, policies and matters of professional and business interests to members, governmental agencies, the media and the general public. Extensive knowledge of the health care and long-term care industry is preferred. Candidates must have management, strategic, financial and organizational skills, as well as superior writing and verbal communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in government, regulatory, public affairs, and/or health policy activities. Extensive advocacy during state session and statewide travel is required.
