The role you’ll contribute:
The RN Nursing Supervisor (nights) is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Administrator and/or designee, the Clinical Resource Nurse has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call. S/he serves as a role model for the mission, vision and values of AdventHealth.S/he uses critical thinking skills and the nursing process to insure optimal patient outcomes.S/he facilitates the tone of the work environment and assures that all personnel are competent, adhere to all policies of the department and organization and adhere to all behavior standards of AdventHealth.

Carries out hospital/nursing policies, procedures and standards.
Visits all patient care units to ascertain condition of patients, evaluate staffing needs and provide support to caregivers.
Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain.Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Lead clinical teams in ensuring high patient and physician satisfaction and provide support through difficult and complex issues.
Administers the effective distribution and utilization of personnel employed during the respective shift.
Uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and evaluate services rendered by and to all departments during the respective shift on an ongoing basis.
Implement appropriate actions to respond to the needs of patients and their families/support system.
Keeps the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), his/her representative and/or the Administrator informed regarding circumstances or situations which have or may have serious impact.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Associate's Degree
BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
Kansas Registered Nurse License
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or obtained within 5 years of employment- preferred
