Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist-RN
JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist will be responsible for facilitating accurate and timely clinical documentation through concurrent reviews of medical records, compliant physician querying, and assignment of working DRGs. The Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist will help identify opportunities for improvement in inpatient clinical medical documentation to reflect the accurate severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, and complexity of care of the patient, including appropriate principal diagnosis/procedure and secondary diagnoses/procedures.
