Location: AdventHealth Bolingbrook Hospital
The role you’ll contribute:
Reports directly to the CNO and is responsible for operational leadership and management of the department. Provides input into the development of policies and procedures, ensures all activities comply with hospital and outside regulatory agency standards, and monitors supply levels, equipment maintenance and budget levels. Ensures proper workflow and departmental productivity, adjusting staffing levels as required. Brings ideas, concerns, and issues to the attention of the President/CEO and Chief Nursing Officer and acts as a liaison for the Department of Surgical Services.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Creates a strategic and operational department plan to achieve the mission and vision of the department.
· Understands the hospital goals and objectives and develops a department plan, complete with long- and short-term objectives.
· Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Operating Room, ASU, PACU, Endoscopy, Central Sterile Processing, and CVOR.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining departmental operational budget. Maintains financial records and expenditures for supplies and equipment.
· Establish and communicate department support for the strategic plan and mission of Bolingbrook Hospital. Effectively recruits, selects, evaluate delegates, and motivate employees and through actions, demonstrate what is important.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
· Bachelors in nursing or master's in healthcare leadership field
· A minimum of five years in a Surgical Services management experience in a leadership role.
· Departmental fiduciary responsibility
· Current Certified Nurse Operating Room CNOR is preferred.
